“With the pure You show Yourself pure, And with the crooked You show Yourself *astute.” (Psalm 18:26, NASB95) *Note – Astute can be translated as cunning in Hebrew.

The Lord by His Holy Spirit revealed that like the Greeks who hid in the Trojan Horse as part of a plan to destroy the city of Troy, so too the Lord decided to use Ukraine as the place that He would break out and wage war against Russia.

While a group of us were waiting on the Lord, April Turner, a member of our board, had a vision where she saw light emanating from inside a large, dark horse.  Inside the horse a small light appeared, and then another until finally bright light broke out and the dark horse broke down like cardboard.  The horse in the vision had two meanings –

(1) Ukraine is the “dark horse” meaning it is viewed as a weak contender (such as a racehorse) unlikely to succeed but makes an unexpectedly good showing.

(2) Ukraine is the Lord’s Trojan Horse designed to bring destruction to Russia.  The Ukraine has been viewed by Vladimir Putin as territory that could and should be brought inside the borders of Russian territory.  In this way, Russia has miscalculated and has brought destruction upon themselves just as the leaders of Troy did when they brought the Trojan Horse inside the city gates.

The ultimate brilliance of the Light emanating from the dark horse illustrates that the Lord intends to demonstrate His glory in the situation in Ukraine that will grow brighter and brighter, bringing renown to His name and that the Lord will bring His ultimate good from this bad situation.  We should note that Jesus proclaimed that He is the Light of the world (Jn 8:12a, NASB95).

To that point, I then saw the Lord, in full battle armor and sword drawn, towering as He stood in Ukraine fighting against the Russians.  By this we can know that He has entered the battle and it is good to know that the Lord has never lost a battle.  The Lord has set the ambush and it is He who is waging war against the Russian army.  Truly, the Lord is and will continue to demonstrate His cunning, that is He will outmaneuver Russia’s military in the conflict.

He is the Lord of the suddenlies, and He is bringing swift destruction to Russia as a nation.

Many months ago, a friend of mine, Dr. Greg Sucilla, related a dream that I quote below –

“I dreamt of a very long, gleaming black train …. Powerful….hurtling through a countryside with grain fields on either side of the tracks…as it moved forward, unbridled, something pushed it off the tracks into the grain fields. It became totally useless. It was my distinct impression that this was a Russian train, and that emanating from the image was arrogance and imperialism…it was rather startling to see it topple over for no apparent reason.”

I would submit to the Body of Christ that we are seeing the fulfillment of that dream.  I am amazed at the truth of the Bible where Paul states that, “…we know in part and we prophecy in part.” (I Cor 13:9, NASB95)  The Holy Spirit reveals parts of the whole through His Body so that we can come to an understanding of the truth.

The Lord also revealed that we must not look at what is going on with the nations without revelation from the Lord.  We must have His point of view on each situation that arises in the nations.  In the vision, I saw Him holding a national leader in His hands.  The leader was the size of a small G.I. Joe figure in His hand.  He controls leaders of the world and directs their actions.  The Lord said to Pharaoh the following –

For if by now I had put forth My hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, you would then have been cut off from the earth.  But, indeed, for this reason I have allowed you to remain, in order to show you My power and in order to proclaim My name through all the earth.  Still you exalt yourself against My people by not letting them go. (Exodus 9:15–17, NASB95)

No leader can thwart the plan of the Lord – “There is no wisdom and no understanding And no counsel against the Lord.” (Proverbs 21:30, NASB95)

‘”For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, “He is the one who catches the wise in their craftiness.”’ (1 Corinthians 3:19, NASB95)

The Holy Spirit has and is orchestrating His will in the world today, particularly as it relates to the situation we have watched rapidly develop in Ukraine.  We should pray for nation of Ukraine, its people, their military and that the Lord would continue to derail the plans of the Russian war machine and its leaders.

Let the Church and the nations of the earth take heed and humble themselves before the Lord; He is shaking the nations of the earth.  The earth is the Lord’s and all it contains, the world and those that dwell in it (Ps 24:1, NASB95).

Praise the Lord, for He is mighty in battle!  We are His gates!  We must usher Him in!
