During the early morning hours of June 14, 2023, I received a prophetic dream from the Lord.  In the dream I was at an exclusive, ocean-front resort.  The complex included a multi-story building that appeared to be a hotel with elegant furnishings and accommodations.  On the top floor was an area with a conference room overlooking the ocean, with other amenities.

As I explored the top floor, I was thinking that it could be reserved for special functions and/or meetings, but soon found others that were present, including children, that certainly seemed out of place.  This type of area wouldn’t normally be associated with a children’s play area, and it seemed odd that others were in an area that felt it should be reserved.

I was then in a beautiful kitchen with none other than Jay Leno, the former host of the Tonight Show.  On the kitchen center island was a very rare red tuna that was ready to be cooked.  The vivid color of the tuna still stands out to me, signifying how rare and exotic it was, however, it was not a species of tuna that you can find in our world today.  Jay was one of a few people who knew how to prepare this type of tuna, but the kitchen staff had poured a saline solution inside of the cavity of the fish that caused him to pause saying, “This isn’t normally what you do with this type of tuna.  I am not sure how to proceed.”  That would be the last I saw of Jay in the dream.

During the dream, deep within my heart was an ongoing knowing being imparted from the Holy Spirit.  He was communicating to me that He was bringing a distinction between those who were saved and followed Him, and those who were not saved.  The Lord made it clear that Jay didn’t belong in this resort.  The revelation of the coming distinction the Lord will make in the coming days stayed with me deep within my heart the entire day.

Jesus promised His disciples that He would make them fishers of men (Matthew 4:19 || Luke 5:10).  Jesus spoke of the kingdom of heaven using fish to represent people –

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea, and gathering fish of every kind; and when it was filled, they drew it up on the beach; and they sat down and gathered the good fish into containers, but the bad they threw away. “So it will be at the end of the age; the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 13:47–50, NASB95)

Because of the above, I believe the tuna, that was not of this world, represents the people of God who are to be filled with salt within themselves.

 “For everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good; but if the salt becomes unsalty, with what will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.” (Mark 9:49–50, NASB95)

The Lord indicates that judgment will come to those that have drifted from Him by their disobedience for so long they no longer “taste” or act like Christians.  Jesus stated, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord’, and do not do what I say.” (Luke 6:46)  There is only one way we can keep salt within ourselves and that is to walk in loving obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ.  We must stay hungry and thirsty for more of Him!

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.” (Matthew 5:13, NASB95)

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.” (Matthew 7:21–23, NASB95)

These are sobering words for us to meditate on to determine if we have deceived ourselves, which was a grave concern set forth by the apostle Paul for the church in Corinth –

“Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?” (2 Corinthians 13:5, NASB95)

Do we have salt within ourselves?!  Have we purchased the gold refined by the fire, submitting ourselves to the Lord who says we are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked (Revelation 4:17-18).  Complacency coupled with disobedience is an insidious cancer that drives salt from the believer’s heart.  We must continue to filled with the Lord’s Fresh Oil, His Holy Spirit (Matthew 25:1-13) and continue to be being filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18b – emphasis mine; the accurate translation of Paul’s words).

What Does the Bible Say About the Lord Making a Distinction?

One of the more dramatic events in the Bible has to do with the plagues that were released by the Lord against Pharaoh and Egypt to demonstrate His power and His glory to Egypt, the world and us.  He is the Lord of heaven and earth and there is no other.  In Exodus 4:21-23, the Lord sends Moses to Pharaoh to warn him that He is about to send a fourth plague that will be a swarms of flies, if Pharaoh doesn’t let His people go –

“For if you do not let My people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you and on your servants and on your people and into your houses; and the houses of the Egyptians will be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground on which they dwell.  But on that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, where My people are living, so that no swarms of flies will be there, in order that you may know that I, the Lord, am in the midst of the land.  I will put a division between My people and your people. Tomorrow this sign will occur.” (Exodus 8:21–23, NASB95)

Starting with this plague, and the subsequent plagues He sends prior to Pharaoh releasing the Hebrews, the Lord brings death and destruction to the Egyptians, but nothing happens to the Hebrews – they are protected (Ex 9:1-6, 11-17, 18-26; 10:12-15; 11:4-8, 27-32).  This demonstrates not only that the Lord can send a plague, but that He can direct it to His intended target with precision.  The Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

The warning is not only to those to who do not believe in Jesus Christ and have not committed their lives to Him.  It is also a warning to those who claim to be Christians.  As long as the Israelites followed the Lord and were obedient to His voice, the Lord continued to bless and fight against their enemies on their behalf.  But when they turned from the Lord and rebelled against Him, He banished them from the land He had promised to them, sending plagues, famine and drought as well as mighty armies to destroy them and take them into exile.  In short, He judged them.

May we be found to be wise virgins and not foolish.  The Glory of the Lord will be upon the wise Christian who has learned and practiced following the promptings of the Holy Spirit in the light of the Scriptures and walks in obedience to Him, who knows the voice of the Spirit of Christ and abides in Him.

Conclusions

What do all the parts of the dream tell us?  The most important message the Spirit conveyed and confirmed to me was that in the days ahead He would begin to make a distinction between His people, and the rest of the world.  He has made it abundantly clear that the judgments He will release will increase and intensify, compared to what we have already experienced since the beginning of 2020.  At the same time, spiritual darkness and deception will increase.

The resort I explored was a special place, reserved for His people.  The red tuna represented Christians.  Jay Leno would certainly be considered by many to be a “nice guy.”  But that isn’t enough to ensure that Jay will be allowed into heaven.  It isn’t enough for anyone.  To be saved from being sent by our righteous Heavenly Father to an eternity in hell (although we make the choice to go), we must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He was crucified on the cross, died and was resurrected on the third day.  He then ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.  He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and there is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Only those who believe that the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and the shedding of His blood will cleanse them from all their sins.  Self-righteousness and what we may believe about ourselves, doesn’t matter in the end.  What matters is what Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)  That is the simple truth of the Gospel.  We must surrender our lives to Jesus.

Jay didn’t understand the red tuna filled with the saline solution.  For me it means that he doesn’t know what a real Christian is, or what it means to be a Christian; it is one who has surrendered their life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.  Most of all, in all probability, he has never encountered the Living Christ.  Christians believe in the One who is truth – Jesus Christ.

I have a good friend that I have known for over 30 years that knows Jay Leno.  I spoke with my friend about the dream and asked him if he believed Jay was a Christian.  In short, he doubted it.  Could it be that the Lord will use my friend to minister the Gospel to Jay and bring him to Christ?  Let’s pray that the Holy Spirit will lead my friend in this ministry to Jay.

The other people, including the children, that were present in the exclusive hotel area, that didn’t seem to belong, only illustrate the emphasis of His main message.  All are welcome to be saved from this perverse generation, but only those that surrender their lives to Jesus and decide to follow Him, will be protected from the coming judgments that He will soon send.  Those who refuse to make Jesus Lord of their lives (which we have discussed above), won’t be protected from the coming judgments.

The Lord warned me in 2014 that dangerous and perilous times were coming and to stay in His Glory.  Let us heed His words, and obey His voice!
