Please note: I have inserted bullets that represent a faithful transcription of Dana’s dream.  My comments follow immediately after each set of bullets.  My hope is that this will help with readability.

Introduction

As I have stated previously, the goal of this document, as well as parts 1 & 2, is to judge, i.e. to properly discern and analyze through God’s word and prophetic revelation,  Dana’s dreams as Paul instructed the Corinthian church in I Cor 14:29.  I am judging them at the direction of the Lord, within the context of scripture and what the Lord has revealed to me over the past 24 years.  I lay no claim to having a corner on the truth, but simply submit this document to the Body of Christ for prayerful consideration.

I have been able to confirm what Dana saw in the previous three dreams (please see parts 1 & 2) while providing additional revelation of what the Holy Spirit is saying to His Church.  I have concurred with most of Dana’s conclusions where he has chosen to interpret.  In many cases he has not felt comfortable interpreting what he has received which is completely understandable given the dramatic change that has come to his life and ministry.  However, I have stated that I do not fully agree with Dana’s position that the dreams are simply warnings.  My position is that they tell of judgments that the Lord is releasing and will release if we do not repent.  To the best of my knowledge, Dana does not use the term judgment in his discussion of his first six dreams, although he has said it is important that we repent.  I have been preaching and writing for years that judgment was to be released against the Church, America, China, and most recently other nations.  Dana’s first three dreams revealed the judgment that was to be released upon America and we are all witnesses to portions of them being fulfilled.

This dream should be received as a 50 mega-ton atomic bomb of truth for the Church and particularly to pastors.  It is designed to destroy all our misconceptions that we cannot be touched by the Lord’s judgment.  We are currently experiencing judgment, and more is to come.  In a vision a few years ago, I saw the hand of the Lord lifting off America.  That means everything in America, including the Church.  For those who feel secure in their theological bunkers, this dream is designed to pound through, i.e. destroy, the doctrinal cement in our thinking, while shattering our spiritual pride.  Not only is the Lord not protecting the Church that moves in habitual presumption, He is releasing the wicked one to wreak havoc upon churches and leaders who preach pharisaical doctrine as a shabby substitute for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Since the Lord used Nebuchadnezzer to destroy the temple and remove His leaders from their positions while taking His people into exile, why can’t He do the same with Satan, his demonic horde, and false ministers?  He can, He is, and He will.

If you are looking for the bottom-line, Jesus is bringing a wrecking ball to the Church because in its current form, it doesn’t remotely resemble the Biblical standard of Christianity – which is what we see portrayed in this dream.  It is time for a reset and a re-establishment of the Biblical truth for the Church that has traded true, Biblical spirituality for psychological power.  We have traded Jesus Christ who is the power of God and the wisdom of God (I Corinthians 1:24) for a form of religion devoid of power and the foolishness of men.  We have traded the truth of the Gospel for a list of Pharisaical do’s and don’ts.  We have traded the guidance of the Holy Spirit for our desire to do our own thing and live our own lives, habitually committing the sin of presumption, thereby declaring our rebellion against Him.  These and many more are our sins that have come up before the Lord and our day of reckoning has arrived.

This dream stands out from Dana’s first three dreams in that it does not provide a timeline for the Lord releasing judgment.  Instead of providing insight into various problems coming to America in general, this dream focuses primarily upon the Church.  We can observe a progression in what the Holy Spirit is revealing in this dream.  The steps are as follows:

  1. Empowered wolves are released against the powerless Church that is unaware of their mission.
  2. Wolves enter the Church unimpeded; there is no protection.
  3. The demonic awakening of the religious.
  4. Dana (and ministers worldwide) preach religion, but to no avail, empowering the wolves.
  5. The religious and rebellious turn against Dana and leave the Church.
  6. Dana and other ministers are overcome by the wolves, attempting to stand in their own power.
  7. Persecution comes to Dana and other ministers who are shackled and dragged to court.
  8. The religious work to destroy what they have seen of Christianity.

We could sum up the progression as a move toward great darkness.  Darkness in the form of empowered evil and deception.  We can see this progression in the ministry of Jesus.  He was the light that appeared to people sitting in great darkness as foretold by the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 9:2 ‖ Matthew 4:16).  Jesus is the true light who came into the world to enlighten men (John 1:9), and as we follow Him, we stay in His light.  He ministered, preached the Gospel through teaching/preaching and demonstrations of power.  He ministered for three and a half years, but then empowered darkness came.

As the ministry of Jesus progressed, the black wolves, the Pharisees, Sadducees, and the wicked rulers of His day ramped up their persecution against Him.  Ultimately there came a day when Judas, His own disciple, conspired to betray Jesus and His disciples would desert Him.  Once Satan entered him (John 13:7), Judas went out to complete his evil plan, betraying Jesus into the hands of wicked men, the religious rulers of that day.  As the drama unfolded in the garden, Jesus said, “While I was with you daily, in the temple, you did not lay hands on Me; but this hour and the power of darkness are yours” (Luke 22:53 NASB95).  Jesus saw the darkness clearly.  The Council of elders, the Sanhedrin, convened their puppet court and were led by the high priest and quickly passed judgment and condemned Jesus to death.  They then took Him to Pilate.

Standing before Pilate, Jesus told him, “You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me up to you has the greater sin” (John 19:11 NASB95).  Empowered and menacing darkness, working through men, was given authority from above to work their wicked schemes against Jesus.

This same progression of darkness is what we can observe in Dana’s dream.  Evil is being released with authority that cannot be resisted or defeated, but ultimately it will be destroyed, for our final victory was purchased through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross.  As the Father, by His Spirit, worked through the life and ministry of Jesus, so too He will accomplish His purposes in and through His Church.  Jesus told us plainly that persecution would come (John 15:20), and yet we are called, after having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13) in our full armor (Ephesians 6:14-17).

We know that Jesus rose in glory, triumphant over the grave, sin, and death despite the plans of empowered evil.  We must stand in Him and allow Him to be triumphant in and through us.

Peter said, “For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:17, NASB95).  The images and scenes in this dream are as vivid and troubling as any Dana has had.  They tell a story that I have no doubt has, is and will take place.  This is one level of what we see, but there is far more.  We must go deeper by the revelation of the Spirit.

Dana sets forth an interpretation that views this dream through the lens of an Assemblies of God (AG) pastor.  We all look through the lens of our life experiences as well as what the Lord has revealed to us during our walk with Him.  I have attended six AG churches during my 40 year walk with the Lord and had the opportunity to be the student large group leader of Chi Alpha, a Christian student ministry, at the University of Illinois for a brief time while attending a local AG church who sponsored us.

Much later in my journey, I attended a flagship church of the AG in Virginia that carried the flames of the Brownsville revival in the 1990’s to other churches.  Fifteen years later, I had the opportunity to revisit that church.  To say that things had changed would be an understatement.  I observed they had expanded the stage and made the area around the pulpit more prominent.  The old stage curtains had been removed and new had been installed.  The pastor followed a teenager who carried his Bible, ushering him to his seat; I think the term is armor bearer.  The worship team had every orchestra instrument any church would want.  The smoke machine kicked in and poured its product over the stage at just the right moment.  They sang all the right songs, but with all of this, there was something terribly wrong.  I could sense it at the very beginning of the service.  The Holy Spirit was no longer there and where the Spirit no longer dwells there is the stench of spiritual death.

Gone were the days of the power of the Holy Spirit being made manifest in the services.  There was no call for salvation or prayer ministry for the sick, the desperate or the oppressed.  At the end of the service the pastor asked the congregation, “Did anyone learn anything today?” As far as I am concerned, the man who called himself the pastor, was anything but a shepherd of the flock of Jesus Christ.  The gathering was no longer a church.  It had become a place to worship false light, a classification the Holy Spirit coined for me.[1]

Though birthed in the fires of the Azusa street revival, over the past 10 years the AG denomination surrendered the decision to local pastors as to whether or not they would allow the Holy Spirit’s power to flow in and through His people in regular services; apparently many thought the Biblical manifestations of power (i.e. the spiritual gifts or charismata) would drive people away.  Some chose to allow the Holy Spirit to only move in small group settings, taking their stand against Him and orthodox Christianity.  This information came to me from reliable ministry sources associated with AG leadership.  This is, and has been, a troubling trend that I have observed in Pentecostal/charismatic churches and fellowships for years that have turned into decades.  It is spiritual backsliding of the highest order among those who should know better, but it is by no means limited to the AG.

We should understand that the Holy Spirit responds to our decisions at the heart level.  This is true for salvation and it is true when pastors decide to build up spiritual iron bars, through their decisions, against the move of the Holy Spirit in their services.  It is nothing short of a conspiracy by ministers to keep the King of kings and Lord of lords out of His own house and away from His flock.  They cannot control the Mighty River of God, so they work to remove Him.  This is a grievous sin.  How ironic that these are the same pastors that will call for prayers for revival year after year with no results.

In 2014, I had the opportunity to meet with an AG pastor recognized as one of the most successful leaders in the country within the denomination.  It was clear that he was using and had embraced the popular growth strategies of men well known among church leaders.  He did not speak of revelation from the Spirit.  He knew revival was coming and that change was demanded, but he didn’t have a clue as to how to get there.  His answer was to call his staff together and develop a strategy of their own.  I’ve never heard of anything so foolish, yet he was sought after for counsel by other leaders within the denomination.  These are the blind leading the blind.

Other AG churches I have attended or visited seem satisfied with little or no move of the Holy Spirit on Sunday morning.  A tongue here, an interpretation there, add a dash of a small prophetic word and for them it is a good service.  It is amazing how the AG, along with the rest of us, have drifted from the Biblical standard of normal Christianity, which is supernatural power manifested in, by and through the Holy Spirit.  Demonstrations of His power does not simply confirm the Gospel, they are the Gospel.  We shall discuss this in detail later because it is central to what the Holy Spirit has revealed in this dream.

I would submit that this discussion is completely relevant to understanding Dana’s dream.  Having shared my views and experiences regarding the AG, I would submit that overall, the American Church is in the same backslidden condition.  All is not well in the American Church, and the back story to the powerful images in the dream provides us with a deeper interpretation that has spiritual meat for all of us.  At the root, we have sown the seeds of disconnection from the Holy Spirit, which is to say we are cut off from the Lord.  As a result, the AG and virtually every other denomination and fellowship, indeed all of us, are reaping a whirlwind of judgment because of our erroneous conclusions and rebellious decisions at the heart level.

For this dream, I will set forth another interpretation that will go cross grain to some of Dana’s conclusions.  This is not to say that I disagree with his interpretation.  However, when we incorporate the truth of where we are as the Church, together with additional prophetic revelation, more truth is revealed, and broader and deeper conclusions can be drawn.  Since 1997, the Lord has been speaking to me concerning the sin in His Church.  The primary sin is rooted in outright rebellion against the Holy Spirit, preventing Him from moving in power in His own house, in and through His Body.  As a result, the enemy has infiltrated the Church because without the protection of the Holy Spirit, there is no protection.

When pastors and other leaders habitually grieve the Spirit, making it their standard practice to move in the sin of presumption, attempting to “minister” without Him, He leaves for we have left Him – we are no longer aligned with Him.  Unfortunately, many pastors would rather schedule a prayer meeting for revival than surrender control to the Holy Spirit who is the Mighty River of God who cannot be tamed.

Many years ago, during the political turmoil that followed the election of President Obama, I asked the Lord, “Is this the time for the breaking up of the country?”  He immediately replied, “No, it is the time for the breaking up of the Church.”  In a vision I released in July of 2013, the Holy Spirit set forth the Church as a cruise ship floating on still water.  I then saw cracks develop that began to cover the entire ship, forming large pieces that began to fall in the water.  In a moment, what I will call the USS Church, completely collapsed and disappeared into the water; there was nothing left.[2]  The Lord has declared that there are none in America that are more guilty than His Church.[3]  Every pastor and Christian in America should seriously consider the ramifications of the multiple points of the indictment that the Lord has declared to all who have ears to hear and eyes to see.

Pastors no longer willing or able to hear the voice of the Spirit of Jesus, have led His flock into dry, burned out pastures where they are crying out in distress.  If our eyes were opened by the Holy Spirit, we would see Christians that appear as holocaust survivors.  They are malnourished because they have not been fed good spiritual food.  Last year in a vision, I saw the Lord kneeling and weeping in downtown Atlanta.  I asked the Lord, “Why are you weeping?”  He replied, “Because there is no fresh bread in the city.”[4]  This year He revealed that this is not only true for Atlanta, but for all of America.  This revelation has profound implications for pastors and Churches.  What the Lord is saying is that pastors are not bringing forth Fresh Bread, i.e. revelation by the Spirit, to the Body of Christ.  Instead, pastors are preaching messages devoid of revelation by the Spirit, nor do they understand what should be fed and when.  In other cases, pastors are preaching out of books or simply one another’s sermons.  As a result, the Church has become a prison serving slop, with “pastors” who have become nothing more than wardens, holding people captive in with one part of a verse of scripture –

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near (Hebrews 10:23–25 NASB95).

How many times have His sheep heard the admonition not to forsake the assembling together, while at the same time many pastors have chosen to forsake the voice of the Lord?  They have refused the leadership of His Spirit and have barred Him from entering His own house!  One phrase taken out of context of the entirety of the scripture has caused His sheep to stay in prisons we call churches, looking and waiting for food and clean water, yet there is none to be found.  Many churches have become spiritual holocaust camps, even though the door is open for followers of Christ to leave and sit at the feet of Jesus.  However, many never feel permission to leave because of the bondage of half-truths set forth by those who want control.  The flock doesn’t yet realize that they could learn from Jesus directly in the presence of others who are also hungry and thirsty for the Real.  Rest assured, the Lord will shepherd His sheep into green pastures and to leaders who have proven to be good stewards and who know His voice.

Ministry devoid of the power of the Holy Spirit is also devoid of the True Bread from Heaven.  There is no ministry without the leadership of the blessed Holy Spirit.  In dark contrast, far too many pastors have succumbed to the rank wisdom of man and this world.  There is a widespread bowing down to false light, for many love teachers of false light.[5]  These are not churches; they are havens of Hell where doctrines of demons spreads like gangrene through the ranks leaving death, destruction, and darkness in its wake.  There is no void where the Holy Spirit is refused entry; the enemy has come in, twisting and perverting that which is holy.  Habitually grieving and spurning the Holy Spirit has dire consequences, which we see in graphic detail in Dana’s dream.

Only those called by the Holy Spirit to be leaders of His people are to be in positions of authority in His Body.  The Lord has made it perfectly clear to me saying, “Tell anyone in positions of leadership, that if I have not called them to that position they are to resign immediately.”  The Lord is about to clean His house of sin, corruption, and perversion as well as people who were never called by Him to be in the positions they occupy.  For those who will not resign, be assured the Lord will rebuke you and remove you Himself.

The Lord will move in revival among His people, but He demands obedience and a complete surrender on the part of Church leadership.  He is not negotiating terms.  He demands an unconditional surrender to Jesus, the head of the Church, and His Spirit.  The rebellion in the pulpit and among Church leaders will be dealt with severely.  The Lord said to me, “You will see My discipline return to the Church.”  His discipline will begin at the top, with pastors, because across the country they are primarily responsible for hindering revival.  If you are a pastor reading this document, consider yourself warned; you have run out of time if you are actively hindering the move of the Holy Spirit.  The Lord is opposed to the proud (James 4:6a NASB95), and as such you are at war with Him and He has set Himself against you.  If we do not honor the Holy Spirit, He will not honor us.

The Lord spoke to me in a vision revealing that the first line of Satan’s defense against revival is the Church, where pastors have set up fiefdoms, or kingdoms, where they rule without the Spirit.  Is it any wonder that revival hasn’t come?  Rebellion, which Samuel the prophet declared to King Saul is as the sin of witchcraft (I Samuel 15:3).  It is widespread like a spiritual cancer across the Church, deeply embedded within the mind and habitual behavior (what is said and done) of leadership who were called to flow with the Holy Spirit.  These are the spiritual strongholds that must and shall be taken.

At the advent of the ministry the Lord released to me in 1997, the Lord declared His terms, in what could be viewed as a declaration of war against rebellious pastors.  It was and is, “Change or perish!”[6]  It is that simple.  Either welcome the Holy Spirit in the front door of the Church, honor Him and allow Him to move by His gifts of power in and through His people, or be destroyed or at least benched until you learn to flow with Him.  Either way, the Lord will remove His flock from the care of stubborn, rebellious pastors who refuse to surrender to control of His Holy Spirit.  This is the word of the Lord.  As Moses said when fire of the Lord broke out against Aaron’s two sons, Nadab and Abihu, saying, “It is what the Lord spoke, saying, ‘By those who come near Me I will be treated as holy, And before all the people I will be honored.’ So Aaron, therefore, kept silent” (Leviticus 10:3 NASB95).  Either leaders will treat the Holy Spirit as holy or we will see grave judgment come to pastors and churches.

This is the backdrop of scripture, revelation, personal experience, and observation from which I will discuss the various aspects of this dream.  It is critically important that we gather the different aspects of what the Lord is saying through His prophets across the Body of Christ.  I am but one voice, but there are many others who would confirm what I submit is the truth regarding the situation within the Church and in the pulpit.

Darkness is coming because we would not embrace the Holy Spirit who is The Light.[7]  We have cried out for the fire of the Holy Spirit, forgetting that He is an all-consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29).

Let’s begin looking at the various elements of our brother’s dream, starting at the beginning and working through each section, one at a time.

Section 1:  The Dark Figure, The Whip & The Wolves

  • Looking down on a large field in a valley. There were wolves in the field that were asleep, thousands of dark, gray wolves slumbering.
  • A dark figure began running into the middle of all the wolves and began to whip the wolves.
  • The wolves began to wake up, shriek and make horrible noises. They were waking up and being hurt.
  • The dark figure kept whipping the wolves and stirring them into a frenzy. He was beating them with the purpose of making them mad.  He was trying to get them stirred up.
  • Every wolf was struck by the figure’s whip, but they weren’t hurting him. They demonstrated fear and respect of him.  Obviously, he was a master.
  • As he kept whipping the wolves, they coward down and then he stopped.
  • He began to point his finger and moved in a circle and said, “Go to the cities.” The wolves ran in every single direction howling, howling, howling at the top of their lungs.
  • All of the wolves had red eyes, ravenous red eyes (mentioned later in the video but placed here for context) similar to a LED light or like red eye in a photo. As they were being whipped and stirred up their eyes began to glow and become brighter and brighter. (Comment:  We must remember this as it will be repeated later in the dream.)
  • The sky is dark…dark figure…and dark wolves and now they are being sent loose and the eyes of the wolves were flaming.

Jesus warned us saying, “See to it that no one misleads you.  For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many” (Matthew 24:4–5 ‖ Mark 13:5-6 ‖ Luke 21:8 NASB95, emphasis mine).  The word is translated as deceived in the Authorized version and deception is what we see portrayed in this dream.  He expanded this revelation saying that false prophets would arise (Matthew 24:11 & 24) who would move in great signs and miracles designed to deceive many, not just a few, which He repeats throughout the above verses.  The height of the deception would challenge even the closest followers of Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:24).

Paul made it clear that we are in a spiritual battle of epic proportions saying, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12 NASB95).  This portion of the dream indicates that the enemy has unleashed or will unleash a new initiative of widespread deception against the Church.  Jesus warned His disciples of false prophets saying, “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15 NASB95).  He also told them that He was sending them (which includes you and I) out as sheep in the midst of wolves (Matthew 10:16; Luke 10:3).  In addition, the Lord declared the following to Ezekiel concerning the sin of His people and their leaders operating as wolves–

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, say to her, ‘You are a land that is not cleansed or rained on in the day of indignation.’”  There is a conspiracy of her prophets in her midst like a roaring lion tearing the prey. They have devoured lives; they have taken treasure and precious things; they have made many widows in the midst of her.  Her priests have done violence to My law and have profaned My holy things; they have made no distinction between the holy and the profane, and they have not taught the difference between the unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Her princes within her are like wolves tearing the prey, by shedding blood and destroying lives in order to get dishonest gain.  Her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing

false visions and divining lies for them, saying, “Thus says the Lord God,” when the Lord has not spoken (Ezekiel 22:23–28 NASB95, emphasis mine).

Therefore, we observe the symbol of wolves being used by the Lord to describe leaders who are destroying people’s lives, tearing their prey.  Paul will use the same illustration in his last face-to-face meeting with the disciples at Ephesus saying, “Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.  I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them (Acts 20:28–30 NASB95, emphasis mine).

The apostle Peter also speaks of false prophets –

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselvesMany will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep (2 Peter 2:1–3 NASB95, emphasis mine).

I have shared in the previous documents concerning Dana’s dreams that the Spirit of the Lord declares that we must stay in His Glory.[8]  Dangerous and perilous times are upon us and there is no protection outside of His Glory.[9]  This does not mean that persecution will not come, but we must understand the Lord intends to bring judgment to His house.  The Lord has revealed that He is marking some churches for closure because they have closed themselves off from His Holy Spirit.  In addition, I have released a prophetic word primarily for pastors and other Church leaders concerning the Lord’s command that they must open their services to the moving of the Holy Spirit in power or judgment will fall.[10]

What are we to conclude by how the scriptures compare false prophets and evil leaders to wolves?  My judgment, within the context of Dana’s vision, is that the Church has been and will be overrun by false prophets (as well as other types of false ministers, i.e. pastors, evangelists, teachers, and apostles) and their teaching.  The deception of the enemy does not stop there, for there is a counterfeit for every spiritual gift set forth in I Corinthians 12.  No doubt the Church will need the gift of distinguishing of spirits listed by Paul as one of the spiritual gifts in I Corinthians 12:10.  It is a gift greater in power than the discernment all of us are called to have some measure of, and is a supernatural empowerment bestowed by the Holy Spirit.  We must have the Holy Spirit to determine if that which is being manifested is indeed of Him, or if there is wickedness behind it.  This will be needed more than ever in the days ahead.  However, when the Holy Spirit is barred from services, there is no defense against the deception of the enemy, which is a central message of this dream.  Unfortunately, the Church has surrendered the power of the Holy Spirit for many years by not permitting Him in the front door!  When we refuse entry to the Holy Spirit, wickedness creeps in.

For years, pastors and elders have relied on their own abilities to discern what is true and what is false, falling back on what we could jokingly call the “gift” of skepticism, which is not a gift at all, but in many circles is mistakenly classified as prudence.  Anyone can be a skeptic and many couple it with pride and arrogance.  Natural abilities are nothing compared to the supernatural empowering of the Holy Spirit or that of the enemy.  Paul told us that we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, so why would we expect victory when we fight in the flesh?  Only the Holy Spirit can lead us to victory that Christ purchased for us through His sacrifice.

The perversity that Paul said salvage wolves would bring to the Body of Christ is designed to deceive and that is exactly what we observe later in Dana’s dream.

Many well known leaders in the Church have declared that Covid-19 was from the devil, either being ignorant or completely deceived by Satan that widespread judgment is reserved for the Lord as set forth in Genesis 3, Leviticus 26 and its sister chapter Deuteronomy 28 as well as many other passages.  Other scriptures outline the systematic destruction of Egypt through ten plagues (Exodus chapters 7 – 12), the destruction of Judah, Israel, Jerusalem, and the release of the plagues described in the book of Revelation.  The Lord will allow Satan to move against people, but when it comes to widescale judgment of cities and nations, the Lord reserves that for Himself.  We dare not give credit to Satan for what the Lord has chosen to do and what He himself is releasing.  To do so is to deny the teaching of scriptures and to walk in denial.[11]

The widescale teaching by many leaders that the Lord would not judge America, or the Church, is one of the greatest deceptions of our time.  If it is embraced by the Church, it leads to greater judgment.  The increase in the severity of judgment is plainly set forth in Leviticus 26.  It is essential that we recognize when judgment from the Lord has been or is being released, because repentance is the only way out!  If the Lord is not judging His people or this nation, then we are not guilty.  If we are not guilty of sin, then we don’t have to repent.  This is what many Church leaders are preaching to their congregations and to America; it is a great evil worthy of judgment.  The truth is we are guilty.  If we aren’t, why would we continue to lean on II Chronicles 7:14?  We have become Biblically irrational and incoherent, claiming II Chronicles 7:14 which shows us what to do because of the Lord’s judgment (II Chronicles 7:13), while saying that the Lord would never judge us.  It is time to stop denying the truth.

Section 2:  The Worldwide Problem of Church Ministry Revealed

  • Next scene…
  • I was standing in front of a monitor/video screen with hundreds of TV screens (a large bank of individual screens).
  • I’m watching men and woman of God, pastors, black, white, Asian, Indian all around the world, and I saw myself. We are all preaching the Gospel, sweating with steam coming from our heads, demonstrating the impact we are attempting to make.  We are preaching hard and teaching hard; teaching Biblical principles, dealing with the major principles (concerning what is going on in the) culture.  We were calling people to righteousness and holiness, to give up ungodly things that were part of their lives.

Contrary to Dana’s view, in this dream the Holy Spirit is revealing the lack of spirituality of ministers worldwide.  Here Dana views the intensity of his and other’s preaching, but it appears that his view of preaching with intensity has to do with, “preaching hard, teaching hard…teaching Biblical principles, dealing with major principles.”  The word of the Lord, Fresh Bread from Heaven, should come with fire to our hearts by the Spirit of Jesus who sent it.  However, the message from Heaven is more than just Biblical principles, it is revelation that flows from the Holy Spirit and it is wrapped in the demonstration of the power of the Lord.  It is wrapped in the revelation of who Jesus is and that all who come to Him can be set free from the bondage of sin, the oppression of the devil and separation from the Father.  By accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the lost, including those who have been sitting in the Church all their lives, can receive eternal life and the forgiveness of their sins.  Then the life and character of Christ, that He promises to work in and through us will come forth, in what we call the fruit of the Spirit, being love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).  If we surrender to His will, we will find life and life abundant.

However, what we see in Dana’s dream is a powerful illustration of Pharisaical preaching, where the primary thrust of the message is that neither homosexual nor the sin of abortion can be committed.  The message is the truth and there is no question that this is what the Bible teaches, but if that stands alone without the preaching of Christ and the life He offers (never mentioned in the dream), then it is nothing more than the law wrapped to appear to be New Testament teaching.  Sinners must leave their lives of sin and darkness and come into the true love of Jesus Christ their hearts are searching for.

Pharisees taught Biblical principles but many of their listeners recognized that they did not preach with the authority that Christ moved in (Matthew 7:29, 8:9, 9:6, 21:24; Mark 1:22, 27; Luke 4:32, 36).  What is remarkable was that it was non-Christians who listened to Christ teaching and recognized the difference.  Scriptural, God-given authority is given to those who have been sent with, and preach His message, not their own.  The Holy Spirit releases His authority, coupled together with His anointing (power) upon those who are committed to doing His will, not their own.  They know His voice and He knows them.  Those who preach the Gospel as a simple list of do’s, don’ts and Bible principles and ideas will be eaten alive by what the enemy is bringing to the Church.

The message of the Gospel is more than a mere set of principles, or lists of do’s and don’ts!  It is a message filled with power that comes by revelation.  Paul made it clear with his emphatic statement that the Kingdom of God is not merely words but power (I Corinthians 4:20) , i.e. Strong’s G1411 – dunamis meaning miraculous power, which is what was exhibited in the ministry of Jesus, and the ministry of His disciples whom He sent out, and still sends out today.  There must be more and there is more!  There must be the fire of the Holy Spirit and demonstrations of power which is far superior than mere “demonstrations” of sweat and preaching in the flesh that is often spewed in pulpits.  Preaching in the flesh may sway the emotions of the hearers, but it will convict no one.  There must be the power of the Holy Spirit in the ministry of those called to preach the Gospel.

Paul said to the Corinthians, “My message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power, that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God” (I Corinthians 2:4-5, NASB95).  So, what do we have in the Church today?  We have multiple generations that know nothing of the power of God and their faith rests on the wisdom of men which is the exact opposite of what the Lord intended.  As we have already stated, Paul emphatically stated, “For the Kingdom of God does not consist in words, but in power” (I Corinthians 4:20, NASB95).  Where are we today?  I would submit that most messages are filled with words, but no power, and this is what the Lord revealed to Dana in his dream.

Beware, pastors!  The sheep are restless and know something is desperately wrong in the pulpit.  Their yearning for something more, coupled with their cries to the Lord for His Holy Spirit, have come up before Him and they will not be denied.  Preachers preaching with intensity, sweating, and yelling Biblical principles, yet without the power and authority that only comes from the Holy Spirit, will not be allowed to lead the Church of Jesus Christ in the days ahead.  The word to pastors again is, “Change or perish!”  A great shift is coming to the Body of Christ where many pastors will be benched and stripped of their positions, their flocks given to others because of their rebellion and disobedience of preaching principles without power of spiritual authority.

The Biblical model of preaching comes from Jesus where He lays out the two-pronged form of the Gospel –

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.  He who hates Me hates My Father also.  If I had not done among them the works which no one else did,

they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well” (John 15:22–24 NASB95, emphasis added).

The works Jesus refers that, “no one else did,” has to do with miraculous signs and power.  Jesus both taught and demonstrated the power of the Gospel.  He sent His disciples and later His apostles in the same way (Matthew 10:7-8; Mark 3:14-15, 6:7-13; Luke 9:2, 10:9).  In fact, all believers were called upon in the Great Commission to minister in the power and authority of Jesus (Mark 16:15-18).  Jesus said,  “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:12–13 NASB95, emphasis mine).  There is no “Plan B” for the Church with regards to accomplishing the Great Commission.  To think otherwise, is an attempt to strip the foundation of supernatural power from the Gospel.

The truth is that the New Covenant is the New Covenant of the Spirit.  Jesus came, ministered, died and rose again not only to redeem us and restore us to right relationship with the Father, but to send the Holy Spirit (John 14:16-17, 26, 16:7-15; Acts 1:8, 2:32-36).  The emphasis of Peter’s message on the day of Pentecost is unmistakable.  In the opening sentence of his introduction, Peter told everyone that what they were witnessing was the fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy, “It shall come about after this, that I will pour forth of My Spirit upon all mankind” (Joel 2:28, NASB95).  The Lord emphasizes the essential element of the New Covenant with, “…I will pour forth of My Spirit and they shall prophesy” (Joel 2:29), making it abundantly clear the Jesus paved the way for the Holy Spirit to come, the Father’s promise, i.e. covenant.  Therefore, when ministers of the Gospel do not demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit, they are not ministering the New Covenant.

We are called to uphold the standard that Jesus set forth and that which the Bible proclaims from cover to cover.  Furthermore, the word that we preach must not be by our own initiative, but by His.  This was a foundational element of Jesus’ authority.  Jesus testified, “For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me commandment, what to say and what to speak.” (John 12:49 NASB95).  To preach a sermon otherwise, is to commit the sin of presumption, that David recognized as a great sin, praying, “Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous sins; Let them not rule over me; Then I will be blameless, And I shall be acquitted of great transgression” (Psalm 19:13 NASB95, emphasis mine).

The sin of presumption is rampant among pastors and leadership in the Church.  It appears that leaders will do anything other than submit themselves to wait upon, listen to and move in obedience to the Holy Spirit.  Intensity and fervency, coupled with presumption, is not ministry, it is rebellion.  Fleshly “fire” without a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, who is an all consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29), cannot bring victory; it is impossible.  We aren’t simply called to battle, we are called to victory in, by and through Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ and the Father sent the Holy Spirit to lead, guide and comfort us.  Jesus said, “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.  All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you” (John 16:13–15 NASB95).  Notice that Jesus testified that even the Holy Spirit, who was to be sent, would not speak on His own initiative.  So why are we speaking on our own initiative, attempting to move in the power of the flesh to accomplish anything?

We must have the Holy Spirit to disclose to us if the enemy is at work in our midst, whether it be through false ministers and their teaching.  Jesus said that the devil is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44).  A good deal of Jesus’ ministry on earth was uncovering those who were deceived themselves about who God is and who they were in relation to Him.

Darkness comes to those who will not listen.  Pastors who do not listen and refuse to follow the Holy Spirit into battle, bring the flock out from under the covering and the Glory of the Lord, making them easy prey for powerfully deceptive wolves.  In order to secure victory and protect the flock, we must follow behind the shield of the Holy Spirit even as Joshua’s leaders commanded the people prior to crossing over the Jordan saying, “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God with the Levitical priests carrying it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.  However, there shall be between you and it a distance of about 2,000 cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you shall go, for you have not passed this way before” (Joshua 3:3–4 NASB95).  The Biblical principles portrayed here are these – 1) Listen to and follow the Holy Spirit, 2) Give Him room and don’t crowd Him, 3) Don’t presume to know where you are going, because you haven’t a clue.  When in doubt, go to Step 1.

Presumption always ends in disaster.  Even though it may have been revealed where the Lord is taking us, our families, or the congregations the Lord has entrusted to our care, we dare not rush ahead.  If we do, we too will suffer death and defeat even as the Israelites were defeated by the Amalekites and the Canaanites after the Lord warned them He would not take them into the promise land because of their rebellion.  So, what did they do?  They chose to go on their own!

In the morning, however, they rose up early and went up to the ridge of the hill country, saying, “Here we are; we have indeed sinned, but we will go up to the place which the Lord has promised.” But Moses said, “Why then are you transgressing the commandment of the Lord, when it will not succeed? Do not go up, or you will be struck down before your enemies, for the Lord is not among you.  For the Amalekites and the Canaanites will be there in front of you, and you will fall by the sword, inasmuch as you have turned back from following the Lord, and the Lord will not be with you.” But they went up heedlessly to the ridge of the hill country; neither the ark of the covenant of the Lord nor Moses left the camp.  Then the Amalekites and the Canaanites who lived in that hill country came down and struck them and beat them down as far as Hormah” (Numbers 14:40–45 NASB95, emphasis mine).

This event was so horrid to Moses that in later years he would recount their folly in Deuteronomy 1:43-45 saying that they “…rebelled against the command of the Lord and acted presumptuously”, but then the Amorites (a Canaanite tribe), “…came out against you and chased you as bees do, and crushed you from Seir to Hormah…but the Lord did not listen to your voice nor give ear to you.”

Section 3:  Two Groups of People in the Church

  • As I’m doing this and watching, I see people in the chairs/pews and some are looking at their watches, some are yawning, some have their heads on the back of pews sleeping. Others are uncomfortable, they don’t want to be there.  I see others walking out the back door.

Church leadership has a bad habit of praying for revival while refusing to allow the Holy Spirit to move in power.  The Lord has chosen to move by the gifts of the Spirit, the power of God.   When leaders refuse the Lord’s plan, ultimately the Holy Spirit, dissatisfied believers, i.e. those who are hungry, and the lost will leave.  The Holy Spirit doesn’t play games like the Church, which is a powerful truth for those who have ears to hear.  Where the Holy Spirit isn’t allowed to move, boredom, bondage and death either are or will be the norm.  What else would we expect?  You couldn’t pay me to be in those services.  The Lord demands that we align with Him or we will perish; we must choose life or death because souls are at stake.  The Lord wants us to choose life so He can minister life through us.  True ministry does not exist outside of Him.

  • But at the front of the church I saw a small core (of people) in every church I saw represented on the video monitor. This was a small group of people emphatically listening, supporting their pastors who were preaching, who were supporting the doctrine, the teaching, the ideas that were coming out from these men and women of God.
  • They were kneeling in prayer, they were supportive. They weren’t necessarily unaware of what was going on around them, but they knew there were people who were not paying attention.  They were praying for those in the chairs behind them

who weren’t listening.  All of those who weren’t listening were behind those in the front, some were at the altar

  • There was a gap of space between those who were listening and those who weren’t.

Those who weren’t listening were behind the others, but why weren’t they listening?  I would submit there are specific and incredibly important things that the Holy Spirit is communicating through this portion of the dream that we have already spoken of previously.  One part of this catastrophe, and it a catastrophe, is that without Church leadership allowing the Holy Spirit to lead, guide and direct the entire body of Christ, they become blind, deaf, and hard-hearted.  This is the painful consequence where the power of the Holy Spirit is not demonstrated, and the Biblical standard of ministry is ignored.

Dana speaks of a gap between those who were listening and those who weren’t, but his description alludes to the reality that there wasn’t much of a gap.  For decades, the focus of Sunday morning services has been listening to the preacher.  But what about listening to the Holy Spirit?  What about the Body being sensitive to unction of the Holy Spirit to step out in the gifts of the Spirit, the power of God?  Where is the loyalty to the Holy Spirit?  It is because the Church of Jesus Christ and its leaders no longer listen to the Holy Spirit that judgment has come and will intensify.  Again, the movie that Dana watched in this dream was a depiction of a powerless church where people are only doing what they know to do, but they are overrun nonetheless, because the Spirit of the Lord departed long ago.  The great tragedy is that no one noticed.

Those who were supportive of the pastor, hanging on his every word, were to soon see themselves and their pastor overrun by the enemy.  This should make us aware that no matter how much spiritual intercession is going on in the Church, it cannot make up for gross insubordination or rebellion on the part of leadership or the congregation.  All the intercession in the world won’t stop hell coming through the front door when the Holy Spirit has left the building (Psalm 127:1)!  How ridiculous and utterly reckless we have become.  The truth embedded in this dream is appalling and because of our sin, we too will be appalled as to what the Lord must do to rectify the situation.  There is too much at stake to allow all of this to go on.  The Bride must make herself ready for the coming of the Lord and to do that, she must be in alignment with Him.

Later in Dana’s dream, those who are asleep and not listening are suddenly awakened to the truth the Lord has been telling the Church, “There is no power or authority in your words!”  The world ridicules the Church for not believing what it preaches.  Those in the world, and in the Church, are looking for the real but neither have ever seen it on Sunday morning or they are witnesses to it so infrequently that they come to the conclusion that the Bible is another philosophy of man coupled with fairy tales that never took place.  In the dream they take their stand saying that the preacher isn’t preaching with power or authority, and they are correct.

Section 4:  Wolves Granted Access Because the Holy Spirit is Absent

  • Then in the midst of all this preaching and sweating of the preacher, there was the howling of wolves arriving outside. Suddenly you hear scratching at the door, like a dog trying to get in or get out.

How ironic that while preaching (which I contend is portrayed as being in the flesh as opposed to ministering by the Holy Spirit), the howling and the scratching of the wolves begin to drown out the preacher!  A minister’s intensity and sweat is not a substitute for the Glory of God.  Where there is no supernatural power demonstrated you can be sure that the Glory of the Lord is nowhere to be found.  Without the Glory of God there is no protection from the enemy.  If Church leaders do not follow the Holy Spirit, it is impossible for them to stay in the Glory of God, let alone lead others into His Glory.  By not following the Holy Spirit, leaders bring congregations into the captivity of the enemy.

The Lord is warning all of us that without the Holy Spirit protecting and guarding the door, those who stand guard, the watchmen, guard it in vain (Psalm 127:1).  If we aren’t honoring the Holy Spirit by allowing Him through the front door of the Church to do whatever He wants to do, then our only option is for the enemy to come through that same door, infiltrate our ranks, destroy our ministries and do whatever he wants to do.  The price of our rebellion is captivity, and this dream illustrates it in living color.

  • At that moment, the people who were up front, close to the pastor and the altar, began to turn around and they were aware that something was at the door. They began to intensely pray…intensively pray and aggressively pray against the enemy, the spirit at the door.  The wolves then came in and walked around.  They walked up and began to sniff the people that were listening.  The people who weren’t listening at all really had no idea they were there at all.  All the wolves had red eyes.
  • So when these animals come into the churches, their eyes aren’t red, they are just black and compliant, they are looking around, they are watching, and they go and they sit next to the people who were not listening.
  • And those people didn’t understand there was a wolf beside them. There was no fear or worry, no concern; nothing like that at all.
  • It was as if they didn’t know they were there.

We can glean a great deal from what doesn’t happen and who doesn’t appear in this section.  The Lord is confronting all of us with serious questions.  Here are a few:

  1. Where is the Holy Spirit?

We have to be intentional to invite Him into everything we do.  We want Him leading, guiding and prompting us as well as protecting us.  We need Him to give us ears to hear His voice and eyes to see what He is doing so we are always in proper alignment with Him and His will.  This was how Jesus conducted ministry and He repeated this truth multiple times in John 5:19-20, 30, 7:16, 8:26, 28-29.  This truth cannot be over-emphasized.  What Jesus says in John 8:30 tells us how important this is to the Father. Jesus said, “And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him” (John 8:29 NASB95).  Do we want the Lord to always be with us?  Then we must work to always see what He is doing, hear what He is saying and do likewise.  This is the only way to stay in the Glory of the Lord.

  1. Where is the Holy Spirit, the Fire, and the Glory of God?

Revival, a misunderstood word, is only given to those who respect the Holy Spirit and align themselves with His will.  For our purposes, revival will be defined in terms of Acts chapter 2 where the power of the Lord is manifest, and souls are coming to Christ.  In this dream, there is everything but revival; there is nothing but defeat and powerlessness.

  1. Why don’t those praying realize what (and who) the specific threat is?

Who is tuned into the voice of the Holy Spirit?  What is portrayed here is the antithesis of the standard set forth by Paul in II Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV, emphasis mine) when he said, “Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.”  Those praying appear completely blindsided by evil, while having a vague impression that evil is at the door, but they are clueless as to what form it will take or, more importantly, why it is at the door in the first place.

Are we so dull to the voice of the Spirit of Jesus, that we aren’t aware of the strategy of the enemy until we are overrun?  The truth of what the Spirit is saying to all of us, especially Church pastors and leaders, is simply that we must change or we will perish.

  1. Why are the group of intercessors (closest to the pastor) praying when they should have stood in their authority as believers?

There is a time to pray, there is a time to take authority, and there is a time to stand.  I would submit that this is a warning to the Church that prayer without discernment and the gift of distinguishing of spirits will result in the enemy taking the high ground.  It appears that the intercessors generally recognized that evil was at the door, but the wolves came in unhindered without being recognized for who they were.  In other words, no one was guarding the door because they couldn’t or didn’t know how to follow the Holy Spirit or hear His voice!  This must be taught as Spiritual Warfare 101.  Hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit is foundational to the New Covenant that Peter proclaims in Acts 2:33 & 39.

Without the Holy Spirit operating through discernment available to all believers, as well as the gift of distinguishings of spirits (I Corinthians 12:10), the Church is defenseless against an onslaught of deception in the form of false prophets and/or ministers.  The gifts of the Holy Spirit must be taught, modeled, and discipled within the Church but, unfortunately, that is not the case in many churches and denominations.  The price for our ignorance, disobedience and pride is that many churches will be overrun with Hell.

The dream warns that the enemy has or will unleash a wave of false prophets and ministers that will draw many away from the Lord.  This is what Jesus prophesied in Matthew 24:24 & Mark 13:22.  I believe that this has already started.  Far too many Christian parents have seen their sons and daughters wander away from the faith because they never witnessed the power of the Gospel demonstrated in Christians meetings or gatherings.  When we strip the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ of its power from the hearts of our children, they begin to look at Christianity as nothing more than another philosophy of men.

We have caused their faith to be built on Bible stories rather than demonstrating and modeling to them that the Gospel is full of power and fire.  This is the great sin we have allowed to be committed within the walls of the buildings we call the church; all of us are guilty.  And for all of this, is it any wonder that since we did not welcome the Holy Spirit into our services, teaching both adults and children who He is and how He wants to move in power through them, that ravenous wolves full of the demonic power come in unhindered to take up residence.  They will come in influencing people’s minds with their sinister and demonic influence and doctrine.  Paul warned Timothy –

I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths  (2 Timothy 4:1–4 NASB95, emphasis mine).

And Jude writes the following –

For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ (Jude 4 NASB95, emphasis mine).

We aren’t waiting for the wolves; they are already here.  This is certainly true of the heresies that have entered the Church through Joseph Prince of the so-called Grace movement, the compromised position that Rick Warren, Bill Hybels and other evangelical leaders have taken regarding Islam.[12]  The apostate leaders of the Emergent “Church” (supported by Warren and Hybels) promote heresies that bend to the norms of culture rather than adhere to Biblical teaching.[13]  The evil of their combined and wicked teaching has been swallowed by pastors and Church leaders worldwide, and the deadly effects upon the Church of Jesus Christ cannot be under-estimated.

Section 5:  The Same Whip Used by Two Masters Yields Identical Results

  • The louder I preached and the more intensely I preached, dealing with sin in our world that are called out in the Bible, these people began to stir. The wolves’ eyes began to get red, growing in intensity.

The most powerful truth revealed through this dream comes from the repetition of the wolves’ eyes getting red and growing in intensity as first described in Section 1.  The first time this is described is when the dark figure stirs up the wolves with his whip.  Dana describes what he sees, “As they were being whipped and stirred up, their eyes began to glow and become brighter and brighter.”  Both the dark figure AND Dana’s preaching empowered the wolves.  The truth revealed here is profound.  Satan’s power is unleashed through evil, and part of his empowerment comes through those who preach nothing but a form of the law of do’s and don’ts, where the letter of the law kills and the Spirit is not permitted to bring life.  It is the same whip used by two masters having the same effect on the wolves.  This is a stunning revelation as well as an indictment from the Lord.

Should we preach against sin?  Absolutely?  Should we expound upon the Biblical boundaries of sin regarding lying, cheating, stealing, baring false witness, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, and the abomination of abortion?  Absolutely!  But we must realize that Satan loves the doctrines and teaching of the Pharisees who teach, as Dana says, “[Who] are all preaching the Gospel, sweating with steam coming from our heads, demonstrating the impact we are attempting to make.  We are preaching hard and teaching hard; teaching Biblical principles, dealing with the major principles (concerning what is going on in the) culture.  We were calling people to righteousness and holiness, to give up ungodly things that were part of their lives.”  I would sum this up as preaching in our own strength.  We should all be clear that this is not the Biblical standard of ministering the New Covenant of the Spirit, it is a perfect illustration of preaching where the letter kills (2 Corinthians 3:6) and the Spirit is nowhere to be found.

Current day pharisees that preach Biblical principles with endless lists of do’s and don’ts is nothing more than Mosaic Law with New Testament wrapping on it.  Satan can teach and preach the Scriptures, as we see demonstrated in Luke 3:9-11 during the temptation of Jesus in the desert.  However, ministers of the Gospel are called to preach the scriptures under the power and anointing of the Spirit of Christ coupled with revelation.  Preaching out of commentaries doesn’t cut it.

Ministers of the New Covenant who follow the Spirit of God, yielding to His leading and prompting, deliver Fresh Bread given to them by the Spirit of Christ.  They deliver Fresh Water saying, “Come all who are thirsty and drink!” (Isaiah 55:1), and it is the Holy Spirit who delivers on His Promise, which is the New Covenant.  They are called to preach that there is no Christianity or New Covenant without the Holy Spirit.  There is no life outside of the Holy Spirit, for it is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus, who brings life (John 14:6).   No wonder the Pharisees were offended by Jesus when He told them they were nothing but whitewashed tombs full of dead men’s bones and every kind of impurity (Matthew 23:27).  They thought they had it all, but Jesus exposed them for the whitewashed tombs they truly were.

This is the central message of truth and the warning of this dream that all of us, the Church worldwide, including Dana and his fellow ministers who he saw in the dream, must hear and embrace.  The Lord is calling us to repentance for falling far short of the Biblical standard that Jesus set forth for ministers.  Let us say it again – Satan is empowered when we preach legalism, which is nothing but the Old Testament law repackaged; it brings bondage and death.  Paul told the Corinthians that qualified ministers are called to minister the New Covenant, not by the letter but by the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:6).  We see the antithesis of this being portrayed in Dana’s dream.

To live the Christian life, we are called to live by the Spirit so that we do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:25).  To do that, we must hear the voice of the Spirit of Jesus and follow Him; we have Jesus’ promise that His sheep both hear and know His voice (John 10:27).  In Christ there is life and life abundant (John 10:10).  In sharp contrast, there is no life in Pharisaical legalism.  I would submit that this is the whip that stirs up and empowers evil, bringing death.

As I have stated before, the Biblical standard of ministry as set forth by Jesus and Paul is not about the length of our preaching or the intensity with which we preach.  We are called to preach what the Spirit reveals to us, within the framework of Scripture, with His anointing of power.  There is nothing wrong with preaching with intensity or increased volume, but if this is all we have, we have nothing at all.  Jesus told us that the Holy Spirit is the only One on earth that can convict the world of sin (John 16:8-11) and He would do His work through us (John 14:26, 15:26; Acts 2:33).

No doubt the Church will face persecution as Jesus foretold, vividly portrayed in this dream.  However, I would rather be persecuted in accordance with the Biblical model of preaching the scriptures coupled with demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit modeled by Jesus (Matthew 10:1, 7-8, 27, 11:2-5, 28; Mark 3:14-15, 16; Luke 9:1-2, 24:19; John 2:8-4, 5:20, 36, 10:22-25, 37-39, 14:11-12, 15:22-27, 20, 21; Acts 2:22; Hebrews 2:2-4 – to list only a few!), Peter and the other apostles (Matthew 10, 28:19-20; Mark 3:14-15, 6:7-13, 16:20; Luke 9, 10, 24; Acts 1:8, 2-3, 4:7-22, 24-31, 5, 10, 15), and Paul (Acts 9, 14, 16:14-18, 19, 27, 28:3-10; Romans 15:17-19; I Corinthians 2:1-5, 4:7,18-21; II Corinthians 6:7, 10:4-5; Ephesians 1:15-21; Colossians 1:9-12, 28-29;

I Thessalonians 1:5) than to have preached with mere volume and intensity.

Section 6:  The Threat of Being Eaten Alive

  • As the people got irritated, the wolves began to growl, and when they growled, the people who weren’t listening started saying (to Dana), “Shut up! Stop saying that!  I don’t want to hear that!”  They were very aggressive words like, “Stop saying those things!”
  • In my message, I kept preaching and kept preaching.
  • On the screen I was seeing, all of these people kept preaching and preaching, and preaching.
  • Finally, the people who aren’t listening and are now listening saying, “Shut up!” and “Stop!” The wolves beside them are nudging them and wrestling, get them worked up, too.  The enemy works these wolves up, these wolves come in, they stir up the people.  Now the wolves start coming up towards me.
  • I’m seeing on the screen these wolves are coming up towards pastors and other preachers, other men and women of God trying to say, “Don’t do this and stop doing that and this isn’t the way.” Jesus said the way is narrow and the gate was very small to get in.  We were preaching that kind of a message.
  • As I am preaching the messages, the wolves start nipping at my leg and they are trying to bite some of the people I am watching on screen. They are growling, getting right up in their face.  One jumps up on the pulpit, he is right in my face, growling.  I could see the saliva dripping off of his teeth.  I tried to push him off the screen (?) and he bites my arm and he is grabbing my leg.
  • I saw preachers that I know, preachers that I know that share the same heart for ministry as I do, I see them, and the wolves are taking them down to the ground and they are growling, but we just keep preaching. They keep biting and they keep attacking us.  The louder we get, the louder the wolves howl.
  • The people at the altar, they are praying. They are praying for safety and protection.
  • The wolves weren’t necessarily attacking those who were praying. The wolves were stirring up the people who weren’t listening and they were attacking the preachers and pastors, those who were trying to preach what the Lord had given to us.
  • The intensity of that moment was profound for me. Even in the message I am trying to kick a wolf; we were being overwhelmed and attacked.

The intensity of Dana’s dreams increases with the wolves attacking him and other ministers in America he knows, as well as others he doesn’t, around the world.  Dana says that he and others were, “trying to preach what the Lord had given to us.”  If Dana and others were preaching nothing but “Biblical principles and ideas,” as well as what the Lord gave them, then I must question how much he and the preachers really heard and received from the Lord.  If what we see, is what they got, it isn’t near enough and we should be hungry for more.  None of us should be satisfied with what we see in this dream.  If we are, then we have a serious problem.  There must be an accounting for the empowerment of evil as I have already commented on in Section 5.

Wolves biting Dana and other ministers speaks of spiritual attacks, and here there is no victory over the enemy.  As I prayed about this portion of the dream the phrase “being eaten alive” came to mind.  This is a common phrase that many of us might use when we describe a football team that doesn’t have a productive offense or defense, resulting in being outplayed and outscored in a dramatic, lop-sided fashion.  Some of us may have used this to describe the onslaught of mosquito bites after a night sitting around a campfire.  These are examples of how we commonly use this phrase.  The Lord is using an illustration of a common phrase many of us use suggesting that Church leaders worldwide have no offense or defense.  You can’t have either without the Holy Spirit.

When the Lord taught Jeremiah the fundamentals of interpretation, He used a play on words in Jeremiah 1:11-12.  In a vision, the Lord presented the image of an almond (shaqed in Hebrew) tree, telling Jeremiah that He was watching (shoqed in Hebrew) over His word to perform it.  This is similar to how the Lord is communicating what He wants us to glean from this section of Dana’s dream.  In short, we are going to be eaten alive and overwhelmed if we aren’t under His Glory, which is only available to those who intentionally align themselves with the Holy Spirit.  We cannot separate the Glory of God from the Holy Spirit; He is the Glory of God.

What are we to do?  Our only offensive and/or defensive position is to be aligned with the Lord.  He wants to fight for us, with us and through us.  We have been called to battle in, by and through Christ, directed by the Spirit, not the flesh.  We must ask Him what His battle plan is and what He is doing.  We must have eyes to see and ears to hear His commands on the day of battle to secure the victory Jesus wants to give us.  The Holy Spirit can give us eyes to see what He is doing as well as ears to hear His voice if we confess that we are blind, naked, wretched, miserable, and poor (Revelation 3:17).

It is clear from the dream that many have fallen asleep as Paul warned the Corinthians in I Corinthians 11:30.  We should note this verse comes on the heels of properly discerning the Lord’s body (I Corinthians 11:29).  Paul warns that we if don’t, we bring judgment upon ourselves.  There is no coincidence that within the next five verses, Paul begins his teaching on the gifts of the Spirit given to every member of the Body.  We must allow the gifts of the Spirit to operate in and through the members of Christ’s Church who are fitted closely together as one.  If we don’t, judgment from the Lord will come because we have not properly discerned the Lord’s Body.  This is the grave error of our generation and many leaders of the Church today.  We must admit that judgment has come already, and this is part of the reason why.

Section 7:  People Begin to Leave

  • People were getting up and leaving. I’m talking about the people who weren’t listening.  They are leaving and slamming the door.  They are making a big scene shouting, “We are not coming back.  You won’t shut up!  We are done hearing this!  Stop it!  Stop it!  Stop it!” And they leave.

We should view this segment within the context of what we know is already going on in the Church.  According to a report released in 2019, Church attendance is declining.[14]  An article in Christianity Today from May, 2018 stated that “‘according to Thom Rainer, ‘About 20 years ago, a church member was considered active in the church if he or she attended three times a week. Today, a church member is considered active in the church if he or she attends three times a month.’ In many places, it’s even lower than that.’”[15]  Thom suggests that we, the Church, have to adapt, but he offers nothing in terms of revelation from the Holy Spirit which is common among so called experts.  I would submit that the Holy Spirit is demanding we change and align with Him.  He will not adapt to us.

To add to this, 20% of adults attending services feel no connection to God in services.[16]  Even more troubling is that 40% of adults do not feel a connection to their faith.[17]  Either they aren’t saved, or the Church does nothing to feed them or truly support them by connecting them to the Holy Spirit.  My question to every pastor in America is who is it that was sent by the Father and the Son to connect them to believers?  It is the Holy Spirit.  He was sent to connect us to our Head, the Father and Jesus, the Son, as well as disciple, lead, guide, comfort, heal, break spiritual oppression, bring deliverance, impart spiritual gifts, prompt the gifts to be used to minister to the Body and evangelize the world with demonstrations of miraculous power.  Why would we think that disconnecting ourselves and others from the Holy Spirit was a smart thing to do?  What kind of pride must we be steeped in to think the Lord wouldn’t judge our lofty arrogance?

Either through ignorance or habitual intentionality, the Church is guilty of driving the Holy Spirit out of the Church, rejecting the supernatural standard of power of the Early Church, while holding the door open for the enemy to fill the void.  Satan always accepts that type of invitation and once in, he will work his evil ways to destroy the foundation of truth that the Church is built upon.  If we had eyes to see, we would see the Church lying in ruins; I speak by the Spirit.

The people not listening are those who are not connected to the Lord or to His Holy Spirit.  Others include those who are hungry and thirsty, but they can’t find Fresh Bread in any Church.  We must remember the revelation of the Lord weeping, say, “There is no fresh bread in the city.”[18]  For decades pastors have blamed Christians for wandering from church to church, never being satisfied, refusing to eat what was served to them from the pulpit.  The problem was that pastors weren’t serving Fresh Bread and the power of the Holy Spirit was nowhere to be found.

As we should know, there is no salvation, deliverance or healing without the Holy Spirit.  There is no true community with others or the Lord without the Holy Spirit, but pastors attempt to help people “connect” without allowing The One who is The Connection to be The  Connector.  Paul told the Ephesians the following –

Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love (Ephesians 4:15–16 ESV, emphasis mine).

Jesus said that He is the vine, and we are the branches and that apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5).  It appears that many pastors don’t believe they need Christ to do anything.  They believe they can teach about Him, without Him; they can pray for people without Him; they can heal people without Him; they can get people “connected” without Him; they can disciple believers without Him and they can survive without His Spirit.  The deceptive teaching easily embraced within evangelical circles is that Christianity has everything to do with the mind.  This has spilled over into Pentecostal/Charismatic leadership circles as well.  They have forgotten that by disconnecting themselves from the Holy Spirit, they have disconnected themselves from the Father and the Son who sent Him (John 14:26, 16:7).  If we reject one, we reject them all; if we rebel against one, we rebel against them all, for they are One.  We are in rebellion against Heaven and judgment has come and more will be released if we do not repent.

The great heretical thinking and teaching of our time is that 1) we can survive unconnected from the Holy Spirit who is power, and 2) there are no bad consequences for our choice.  This is a wicked perversion of the Gospel; a teaching that Paul would say isn’t the Gospel at all.  Without a supernatural encounter through the Holy Spirit with Jesus, Paul was doomed to his burdensome Judaism and destined for hell.  Paul accused the Galatians of, “so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different Gospel” (Galatians 1:6 NASB95, emphasis mine).  We are guilty of desertion, or disconnecting, from the Spirit of Christ.

Today, far too many preachers teach the doctrine of desertion from the Holy Spirit.  This, my friends, is high treason against the Lord, His Christ and His Spirit, deserving the same punishment that Paul levied against those who proclaimed the desertion doctrine to the Galatians– “Let him be accursed.”  So severe is the crime of intentional disconnection, Paul repeated the rightful punishment twice (Galatians 1:8-9), going on to say that he hoped the separatist rebels would go on to emasculate themselves (Galatians 5:12), which by the standards of the law, demanded exclusion from the assembly of the Lord.  This is the severity of our sin.

The punishment of preaching a separatist theology was certain in Paul’s mind, saying, “I have confidence in you in the Lord that you will adopt no other view; but the one who is disturbing you will bear his judgment, whoever he is” (Galatians 5:10 NASB95, emphasis mine).  Unless there is repentance in the heart of pastors for this grievous sin, the Lord will move swiftly in His judgment and many pastors will bear their judgment.  The message I have been given by the Holy Spirit for pastors, which I have carried in my heart for years, is simple:  Change or perish!  It is out of mercy that He is calling us back to Himself.

With high crime comes heavy drama and immediate judgment – which is nothing new.  We are living in the remake of the horror movie first filmed on location in the garden of Eden where Adam and Eve decided they would be better off being disconnected from their Creator.  Satan was spewing his separatist theology then and they both chose to desert.  Judgment from the Lord was immediate and severe.  So too, without repentance, judgment will be our fate as He foretold throughout His word, i.e. Leviticus 26 & Deuteronomy 28.  Unless we repent, the Lord will not relent.  Much of the judgment that awaits us cannot be avoided; disaster is now certain in many respects and imminent in all.

As we continue to read Dana’s dream, this progressive drama unfolds and intensifies.

Section 8:  Persecution From Outside the Church

  • Suddenly, [the] scene changed.
  • I saw courtrooms. I saw judges with gavels (gesturing slamming the gavel)…pounding, just pounding, just pounding at the bench.
  • I saw pastors in chains. I had shackles on myself.
  • I see people in the jury seats and the witness stand crying.
  • The judges were saying, “You can no longer preach this message. You can no longer declare this lifestyle is sin.  You cannot say anything bad about this type of lifestyle or this situation.  You cannot address these things from the pulpit ever again.  You cannot say, this and that.  You cannot say that Jesus is the only way.  You cannot say that abortion is a sin.  You cannot deal with alternative lifestyles and call them awful terrible things.  You can’t say these things violate scripture.  You can no longer preach from Scripture (one thing that was obvious, stated and said).”
  • Most of those in the court room said, “[You] can’t do that!” The gavel comes down in anger and they are mad, they’re mad, they’re mad.

What was said in the Church by those brought up in it, is exactly what is being said in this court room drama.  The revelation given to us is that the culture of the lost, who were never called to account in the Church, is the culture of our world.  Since we dishonored the Holy Spirit, those who were asleep and bored, who may have been converted if He had been allowed to minister to them, suddenly turn because they are overcome with the evil that sits next to them (Section 4).  There comes a time of cutting off and this appears to be what happens to them.

We must understand that the Lord is The Judge of heaven and earth (Psalm 50:4-6).  He has been revealing His case, but we cast His words behind us (Psalm 50:17).  The gravity of our situation is best left to the words of the Lord, Himself.

Now consider this, you who forget God, Or I will tear you in pieces, and there will be none to deliver.  He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God (Psalm 50:22–23 NASB95).

Section 9:  Persecution of Christians at Church

  • I then saw churches surrounded by mobs of people. People were yelling to shut it down, even burn it down.  I saw people that were being so hateful towards the Church.  I saw people who were harassing believers who were going into church services.  I saw people waiting outside after church to harass people who were coming from church to go home.  I saw just hateful attitudes.
  • What stood out was that the people in the hate-filled crowds were the people who hadn’t been listening to begin with.
  • It struck me in the dream, in that moment, that the biggest persecution the Church will face, is coming very, very soon; it may have already started, from those who sat in our churches, never accepted the word of God as the word of God, raised in it all their lives and now want to walk away, because they do not like the preaching of the word of God that says, “This is sin. This is wrong.  You cannot walk this way and still be a believer.”

Dare we blame those who have sat in Church their entire lives, our sons and daughters, for rejecting the demands of a Church preaching nothing more than does and don’ts?  We never connected them to The One who is the Truth.  Can we blame those who needed the life that is only found in The One who is the way, the truth and the life, when  we never allowed the Holy Spirit to make Jesus real to them experientially?  Can we blame the world represented by packed courts in Dana’s dream for their reaction to our

preaching a compromised Gospel not of the Spirit but of the letter, devoid of power, lacking salt that comes from the demonstration of truth?

They have been looking for the power to change their lives or help those struggling with homosexuality and wrestling with sexual temptation, but the apostates within our “church” walls proclaimed, “It’s ok, you were born that way”.  We have been unable to offer true discipleship based upon the power of the Cross to bring death to the flesh and sin, because we know so little of any sort of the tangible, resurrection power exhibited in Christ when He was raised from the dead (Ephesians 1:19-20).  We should begin to understand why the Lord would say, “There are none more guilty than My Church.”

We should not be surprised by the rampant increase of sexual-related sin in the forms of pornography, homosexuality, adultery, fornication and perversion when there has been an absence of salt in the Church coupled with the lack of power in the pulpit.  Churches are filled with ministers that preach an academic version of the Gospel, extracting the supernatural Person of the Holy Spirit, preaching a form of religion devoid of power.  Christianity is by definition supernatural.  In the typical boldness of Paul, he warned the Corinthians that he would deal with those who had become arrogant without power—

“Now some have become arrogant, as though I were not coming to you. But I will come to you soon, if the Lord wills, and I shall find out, not the words of those who are arrogant but their power” (1 Corinthians 4:18–19 NASB95).

Paul reiterated what Jesus told His disciples in John 15:22-24, wrapping up his argument that basic Christian doctrine does not consist in words, but in power (I Corinthians 4:20).  But we have missed it haven’t we?  We have become arrogant, and for us to think that the Holy Spirit would not put us into checkmate only demonstrates a level of pride that demands His wrath and His judgment.  In no uncertain terms, Paul said he would levy his discipline in his Holy Spirit-given authority against those who had become arrogant.  In like manner, the Holy Spirit is coming in His authority to discipline His Church, starting with Church leaders.  Why would we think otherwise?  The Spirit of Christ is the Head of the Church.  In fact, in Him we live, move, and have our being (Acts 17:28).

Paul prophesied by the Holy Spirit that in the last days difficult times would come, listing the attributes of what people would be like.  In that list we quickly see that it sums up into one word – darkness.  He warned Timothy that men and women would be, “…holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; avoid such men as these” (2 Timothy 3:5 NASB95).  The word power (see Strong’s G1411) Paul uses is the same word Jesus used when He instructed His disciples to stay in Jerusalem until they were endued with miraculous power from the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).  Our problem, and our sin, is that we have neglected Paul’s instructions.  Not only have we embraced those who make Christianity a list of do’s and don’ts (another form of legalism), who

hold to a form of godliness even though they have denied the power, we have installed them in our pulpits.

Preachers and theologians, if we dare call them that, who deny the power of the Holy Spirit are guilty of high treason.  They should not be permitted in our pulpits, but our sin of compromise is so deep and widespread that only the Lord can remove them.  If they do not repent, they will be confronted and removed by the only God on earth, the blessed Holy Spirit, the very One they have denied; how ironic.

The winnowing fork of the Lord never leaves His hand, and He will thoroughly clean His threshing floor and He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire (Luke 3:17).  Woe to those who stand against the Lord in the day of His wrath!  I speak by the Spirit of the Lord.

Section 9:  Sons & Daughters Become Apostate

  • It was the sons and daughters who have been raised in church all their lives, but they’ve said, “We’ve had it! There is nothing in this for me.  This Gospel has no power.  It has no authority!  It says that I can’t do this and that!  I can’t go where I want to go!  I can’t be what I want to be.  I can’t do what I want to do!  Those were the people that were screaming.  They were throwing rocks, they had baseball bats and guns in their hands.  They were throwing threats of those of us coming out of the church.

Finally, the ultimate accusation is levied and it flows through those who have been in Church all their lives.  They finally wake up to the fact that we haven’t been preaching in power or authority…ALL THEIR LIVES!  What a powerful and sobering indictment from the Holy Spirit.  The Lord is saying that He has had enough of our services devoid of power.  Souls have been lost and are in jeopardy because of our embracing the demonic doctrine of Cessationism (the blasphemous belief that the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit ceased after the last apostle), to say nothing of how we have dishonored and disobeyed Him.

Instead of discipling lovers of Jesus, we have created passionate disbelievers –

those who wanted more, who waited for more of the Christianity they read of in the Bible, but no one around them was hungry enough for the reality of what Jesus taught.  We have been too lazy to contend for the supernatural.  In the end, the dream reveals that what we have sown, we will now reap.  The passionate persecution and violent rage of the non-believing, Church attender will be our lot, for what the Lord has said is true – “None are as guilty as My Church.”

They cried out for comfort and the only comfort they received was superficial, where leaders said, “Peace, peace, but there was no peace” (Jeremiah 6:14), and because of this, and our other habitual sins, judgment has come and is coming if we do not turn and repent of our grave wickedness (II Chronicles 7:13-14).

  • The anger was coming from those who had fallen away from the Lord. I believe in backsliding.  They were pushing back against everything they had been taught.  Those that had gone away to college, those who had become very, very liberal in all they think and do.  Those who have given in to some of the ideas of the protest movements that we are seeing today and the ideologies that we are seeing today.  The ideologies that are saying that one race is better than others.

Here are important questions for us to ponder:

  1. How did we prepare our children for the onslaught of Hell they would find in colleges and universities? If we sent them with Bible teaching without connecting them to The One who is truth, weren’t we like army instructors who taught soldiers  how to fire their guns with a book, but never gave them a rifle or ammunition?
  2. When our children were faced with obstacles and problems that require the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, why would we think that their faith, which was resting on the wisdom of men (and not the power of God), wouldn’t be severely challenged in their hearts and minds when confronted with the subtle craftiness and power of the enemy?
  3. How much of the Biblical standard of supernatural Christianity have our children experienced? If the answer is nothing, then they have been cheated of their birthright in Christ and we are guilty before the Lord of grievous sin.

Would we dare tell a tank commander to fight a battle without his tank?  Would we order a Navy Seal to perform a special operation without fire power?  Would we command a Marine to take a hill without his rifle?  And yet, we have sent our children to the front line of the battle, which is in our secular colleges and universities (that have become indoctrination stations led by wolves), expecting them to stand in the Lord without the power of His might – the exact opposite of what Paul preached.  Paul taught the Ephesians to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might (Eph 6:10).  This is a continuation of his opening in Ephesians chapter 1.  Paul speaks of, “the surpassing strength of His power” (Ephesians 1:19).  This is the same power the Lord told His disciples would come only through His Spirit in Acts 1:8.  However, we have taught our children by how we have lived, modeling the falsehood that they do not need the power of the Holy Spirit.  This is our grievous sin.

Jesus had a strong rebuke for those who caused His little ones to stumble, saying that it would be better for that person to have a millstone hung around their neck and cast into the sea (Matthew 18:6 ‖ Luke 17:2).  I would submit that we have been stumbling blocks to the very ones entrusted to us by the Holy Spirit.  We have caused them to think they could live without The One who gave them life and was sent to protect and comfort them.  When we did, we wondered why they fell, unable to bear the yoke we are unable to bear ourselves.

Paul warned the ship’s owner, the captain and the centurion sent to take him to Rome, that a shipwreck was ahead if they did not change their plans (Acts 27:9-10).  We too have been warned time and time again through His word, by His Spirit and through His prophets, but we have not turned.  Why would we expect anything else but a shipwreck now?  Dana’s dream speaks of a shipwreck dead ahead.

  • The thing I saw about the pastors who were preaching they were of every race and color. I saw black and white.  I saw native American, Indian, African, Russian, Chinese…they were all preaching the Gospel.  I’m not the only one, but I’m telling you what I saw.
  • The biggest persecution came from those who walked away from the Church.

This only demonstrates and amplifies the severity of the root problem.  The problem of not depending upon the power of the Holy Spirit is worldwide and it must be repented of before revival will come.  Why would the Lord send a revival when we prove by our actions that we despise His Spirit?  He is looking for good stewards who have proved themselves behind the scenes to be faithful followers of His Holy Spirit.

Section 10:  Judgment Coming to ALL Denominations, Fellowships & Churches

  • I then saw pulpits being chopped up with axes. The big, old style, wooden pulpits.  I saw them being chopped to pieces.  I saw plexiglass pulpits being hammered.
  • I saw Christians in chains. I saw them publicly ridiculed and assaulted because their ideas were old fashioned and needed to go.
  • I then heard a cry that I heard for six months, but something was added to it. I heard, “Brace yourself and endure to the end.”  And just like that, I woke up.
  • End of the dream—

This is judgment in the form of persecution of the Church from within America and it is the Lord who is behind it.  John the Baptist preached “the axe is already laid at the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire” (Luke 3:9). The axe, portrayed in the hands of those who have rejected our powerless preaching, is truly in the hands of the Lord and it is a symbol of judgment.  If He would not spare the religious and rebellious Jews, He will not spare the rebellious in His Church.  We have made our bed and now we must sleep in it.  When will we ever learn?  When will we ever turn?

The destruction of both styles of pulpits that Dana saw, symbolize the mainline, modern evangelical and charismatic denominations, fellowships, and independent churches.  All are guilty for not allowing the Holy Spirit to flow in power.  The Lord spoke to me a few weeks ago saying, “The Church has no idea what I am about to bring to them.”  He spoke thru Jeremiah to Judah and Jerusalem the following words that the Holy Spirit is saying to us today –

Stand in the gate of the Lord’s house and proclaim there this word and say, “Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah, who enter by these gates to worship the Lord!”  Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, “Amend your ways and your deeds, and I will let you dwell in this place. Do not trust in deceptive words, saying, ‘This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.’ For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly practice justice between a man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, nor walk after other gods to your own ruin, then I will let you dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.  Behold, you are trusting in deceptive words to no avail.  Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery and swear falsely, and offer sacrifices to Baal and walk after other gods that you have not known, then come and stand before Me in this house, which is called by My name, and say, ‘We are delivered!’—that you may do all these abominations?” (Jeremiah 7:2–10 NASB95, emphasis mine).

The Lord goes on to remind them of the destruction that He brought to Shiloh because of the wickedness of His people.  He threatens them with the destruction of His house, the one they trust in with pride, called by His name (Jeremiah 7:12-14, 26:6).

How many of us trust in our church buildings, embracing the deceptive teaching that the Lord will not bring judgment to His Church?  He will strip us of those who have abandoned Him and who no longer move in His authority or power, consistently grieving His Spirit because of the arrogance of their hearts.  Will He not strip us of buildings that we can no longer pay for because He has stripped us of the tithes that are His?  He will remove His sheep and give them to faithful ministers of the Gospel who He has tested and found worthy of His authority and power.

As the Great Shepherd leads His sheep out of the front door of our buildings, just as Dana has foreseen in this dream, they will take their money.  We will then realize the truth of what He warned He would do – even that which we had will be taken from us and given to another (Matthew 13:12 ‖ Luke 19:26).  But that is not the worst that the king did in the Lord’s parable.  He demanded the worst of all judgments saying, “But these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence” (Luke 19:27, NASB95).  I will allow you to draw your own conclusions as to what the Lord has promised to me saying, “You will see My discipline return to My house.”

The predominant thinking and teaching in our day that judgment is for yesterday or far into the future, is as powerfully deceptive as it is evil.  Many Christian leaders are teaching that we live in a spiritual Goshen, free from the judgment of the Lord that He will pour out upon the world as He did upon Egypt.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  The truth is that the Lord has been speaking, but we are not answering or responding, therefore judgment is assured; we will not escape His wrath.  Again, the words of the Lord resonate in my ears – “Woe to those who stand against Me in the day of My wrath!”

We have but a glimpse through Dana’s dream of what the Lord intends to bring by His own hand, but we really don’t know what it will entail.  One thing is certain, judgment has come upon us and more is to come.  Jonathan Edwards preached in his famous sermon that it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of an angry God.  We are about to experience what Jonathan Edwards hoped that none would never have to experience.

Concluding Comments

In many ways, this dream is a horror film and, unfortunately, we wrote the script over decades of rebellion, attempting to separate ourselves from the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus.  When it came to make the movie, we produced it, directed it, and played all of the parts ourselves.  We found ourselves needing additional actors, so we poured the Lord’s financial resources into the religious systems and theories of our day, causing the virus of death, reaped by our own disconnection to The Vine, to be re-produced in others.  We’ve gone to the ends of the earth, converting far too many to what we thought was Christianity with our deceptive teaching; deception begets deception.  We’ve done nothing but prepare them for judgment as well.  All of this and more we have done, while claiming we are without sin.  We have been the blind leading the blind and both have fallen into the ditch.  The Lord’s “Woe to you…” are reserved for us if we do not repent.

Pastors and leaders are not the only ones who are guilty before the Lord.  We didn’t have the courage to face the truth we observed week in and week out.  We denied the truth of what we saw.  We forgot that bad company corrupts good morals.  Deep in our hearts we knew we weren’t experiencing the reality of Biblical truth, but we refused to face the facts that there was no authority or power in the pulpit or in our own lives.  We chose not to contend for the truth of what the Bible sets forth as basic Christianity.  We never asked the Lord what He would have us do about it, fearing He would say, “Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and publish abroad throughout all regions the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:60 AMP).  Now we find ourselves at the precipice of the Lord’s judgment.

Our disconnection from the Holy Spirit resulted in empty baskets of no salvations, no miracles, no Fresh Bread, no healings and no deliverance from demons; this is the antithesis of what the Lord Jesus commanded His disciples and told them what they would see –

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.  He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16:15–18 NASB95).

Not only did we settle for bad fruit, we settled for no fruit!  Dana’s dream confirms what happens when a people attempt to disconnect themselves from the Lord because they hated Him saying, “We do not want this man to reign over us” (Luke 19:14 NASB95).

I thank God for Dana’s dream.  It demonstrates that we have come to the end of the line.  There comes a specific time for judgment similar to what Daniel experienced when Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it.  The Lord spoke to me months ago saying, “I am guarding the border of America; none will escape.”

The time to repent is now, not tomorrow.  Judgment has already begun; we are only waiting for progressive severity according to Leviticus 26.  This is what the Lord promised He would do if we despised Him and rejected His leadership, and we have despised and rejected His Spirit.  We have come to a crossroad where we must choose this day who we will serve.  Haggai wrote the following to all of us –

Come, let us return to the Lord.  For He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us.  He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, that we may live before Him.  So

let us know, let us press on to know the Lord.  His going forth is as certain as the dawn; and He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth (Hosea 6:1–3 NASB95).

What is the price of revival?  We must repent and to cry out with all of our hearts and welcome Him into our hearts, lives, homes and churches again.  Let us confess our attempts to disconnect ourselves from Him and for our sin of desertion.  We must embrace Him as King of kings and Lord of lords, for He loves us and gave Himself for us!
