The winning Church hears the Holy Spirit’s voice and obeys. The winning Church understands that it has nothing to offer a lost and dying world other than Jesus Christ (who overcame the world’s systems, power, sin, its so-called wisdom and understanding) walking through them by the power of the Holy Spirit. The winning Church recognizes and aligns with the truth of Rev 3:17 every day, walking in the revelation at the heart level that we are blind, naked, wretched, miserable, poor and naked. Blessed are the poor in spirit (they “get” Rev 3:17!), for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt 5:3), and only those!
The Gospel is not about winning awards and personal achievement or making money, although there is nothing wrong per se with any of these things. The Gospel IS about bringing Jesus Christ to the nations in, by and through the power of the Holy Spirit that flows through the believer as they walk in the truth of His word. How much of God’s power are we moving in to accomplish His objectives?! The Kingdom of God does not consist in words (and I’ll add wealth and/or achievement to make a point) but POWER (I Cor 4:20)! How much of His authority (which is far more precious than silver or gold) has He released to us? How much of His strategy has He revealed to us?!
I tell you by the Spirit of the Lord that He is tearing up the systems, strategies, plans and the programs of men! Furthermore, He will tear up the currencies of this world and release the currency of Heaven! What is the currency of Heaven? It is faith that fills your heart to know that nothing is impossible for God that comes with the realization that without Him we can do nothing – a foundational truth we dare not lose sight of.
You and I cannot make enough money to get us through the hour that is about to be released. No! The real question is whether or not we have enough OIL – the Holy Spirit! Are we tapped into the resources that Heaven has to offer to accomplish His mission? If we will humble ourselves and align with Heaven, then and only then, Heaven will align with us!
