They are killing your sons and they are coming after your daughters. You’ve come to the edge of complete and utter ruin with no help in sight. They said they wanted your vote and now they are using it to kill everything you love. The powers that be have become the powers you don’t want to be.
Lurking behind bathroom stalls, evil knows no boundary and it feels like its all about to fall. The menace of man since the Garden has unleashed his horde against the State; when it’s an army of demons against one man, the darkness hits with the force of a cruise missile. You’ve seen loss after loss and you feel like it’s all out of control like an unbalanced pinball. If that wasn’t bad enough you know its coming straight for you and you know there is no place to run, no place to hide.
You’ve run out of answers and you’re tired of the news; you’re walking in darkness and you’re singing the blues, BUT one Person remains true.
You’ve done church, where you feel the lights are on but nobody’s home. The darkness pervades, where help is promised and never delivered, where war wounds find no healing with the trickle of life they call “good and plenty.” Having closed their doors to The One who called them, they stand in a desert waste land that has long since forgotten the cool and abundant rain. They have you running your laps and they’ve got you on their track, where they’ve piled up rocks and there are no maps. Out of step and out of line, they have no answers and you’ve run out of time.
But One Person remains who is Truth. The Word is Life and He is the Light of man. This same Light, Jesus the Christ, is calling, “Will you surrender? Will you lay down your pretend strength and receive the abundant life and healing that only I can provide? You don’t have anything, why not admit it – at least to yourself! What are you waiting for? Follow My Spirit.”
The One sent, the Spirit of Jesus, cries out in public, “Don’t wait for Bill or Jack, Mary or Sue to get it right. You come to Me and you get right with Me. What are you waiting for? How long will you attempt to fight the supernatural menace that only I can defeat? You are out of your league, attempting to play in the majors – attempting to fight powers you know nothing about. Listen and follow Me.”
