It is amazing to consider that 1st century Christians didn’t have guns but they knew how to move in the awesome and wonderful power of the Holy Spirit.  Today, the American Church has plenty of guns and gun owners, yet knows practically nothing about the power of the Holy Spirit, forgetting that it was the Holy Spirit who provided the freedom we now enjoy…but for how long?

Losing on every side, today’s Church in America is long on words and completely stripped of the power of the Holy Spirit.  This could be turned around if the Church would repent for dishonoring the Spirit of Jesus and admit it is blind, naked, wretched, miserable and poor.  Alas, we stand defiant.

Are we so proud that we refuse to admit our rebellion against the Holy Spirit? Unfor-tunately it seems so.  Christians and Church leaders seem more than willing to react to symptoms and tragic catastrophes, groping for pious answers, rather than confronting and confessing the root issues lodged deep within backslidden hearts, enjoying a form of godliness but consistently denying its power.  America the Beautiful has become America the Backslidden.

How proud we have become.  How tragic will be our end if we do not turn and receive the Holy Spirit in all of His power and glory, acknowledging The One whom Jesus sent.

No gun can stop a demonic horde that has been given a free pass from Heaven; having rejected the Holy Spirit we must understand that Hell has been given free reign.

We will either change and submit to the Holy Spirit or we will surely perish.
