This is a special message to all y’all who see the river rising; it doesn’t look good.  You’re the ones that have been countin’ on your prayin’ and the First Church of the NRA to save you and your family.  I’ve got news and it ain’t good.

Evil doesn’t care how many guns or ammo you own.  It doesn’t care how many letters you write to Washington, it doesn’t care how much money you send to the NRA, it doesn’t even care how faithful you are to Rush Limbaugh, or even how you vote.  Nope, it just doesn’t care.

It doesn’t care about how much you pray; it doesn’t care about how many times you attend church or even how much you’re involved.  Evil doesn’t care how much you read your Bible or even how many notes you take during the preacher’s sermon.  Nope, the Devil just doesn’t care.  In fact, he isn’t even remotely intimidated.

Nope…the only thing that gets the Devil’s attention is someone that experiences God’s word, hears and listens to His Holy Spirit and does what He tells them to do – period.

The Devil has decided to come after your livelihood – your good paying coal mining jobs.  You know it’s true.  The enemy is gunning for you and the fact is that your bullets won’t stop him because they can’t.

I told you the news I had wasn’t good.  Why is it all happening?  Why has the Lord given over the country to evil men with evil intent?  Plain and simple; it’s because of you.

Sorry…you can’t go around blaming your congressman, senator or anybody else.  You made your mind up a long time ago that you didn’t want the Spirit of Jesus doing anything in His own house and you sat silent while Church leadership allowed it to happen year after year.  Don’t tell me you haven’t seen it.  Either consciously or unconsciously you let it happen.  You got comfortable with your pick-up truck, your guns, your favorite deer hunting spot, your favorite fishing hole and your big, bad bass boat along with your son’s football, basketball and baseball games.

With all that ammo and your guns, you took your eye off the target – Jesus.  You became complacent and you decided to complain and get riled up about lawlessness in the country without getting angry at yourself for being lukewarm and the sin of rebellion in the Church.  When you signed up for the NRA, you thought that would save your freedom.  It won’t.  You thought Hell cares what the NRA has to say; I’ve got bad news – it don’t.

A man or woman anointed with the power of the Holy Spirit is the only thing that puts a scare in Hell and pushes a horde of demons back, heals the sick, cleanses the leper, raises the dead and brings a message that convicts the sinner.  You settled for religious services without any power for a number of reasons.  One reason was you didn’t care enough go after the power of the Holy Spirit that the Bible says is yours.  Instead, you settled for the power of your pick-up truck, your ATV and the caliber of that new pistol you’ve been aching to shoot.  The problem is you just never ache for Jesus or the life He modeled.

Oh, you may have read some Christian books about how to have revival, but you never made a decision to get red hot for Jesus or seek after all the fullness that is in Him.  You just never made time did you?  No, there was too much to do; too much hunting to do; too much fishing to do; too many accessories for your truck that needed to be installed.  I’ve got bad news; Hell isn’t scared of you, your truck or your bass boat.

You’ve been counting on your patriotic pride for an America that doesn’t exist anymore.  Because of you, the Lord has lifted His hand off of the country and given the country over to Hell.  You signed up for the standard spirituality with the “lukewarm” engine and it came with none of the power that Jesus moved in.  You bought a powerless drivetrain from a powerless preacher.  You also bought into what they call “religion is enough on Sunday morning” thinking it would get you through.  In the end it just got you stuck in the muck and the mire.

Who would do something like that?  You did.

You’re fighting mad alright, but not mad enough to change.  You want to cruise the back roads and the muddy trails of Christianity and leave all the real fighting for someone else – those that heed the call of the Holy Spirit and surrender, sacrifice and discipline themselves for war; those that are willing to be trained under His guidance and learn to move in His power.  No…you’d rather hear a preacher talk about something the Bible talks about that neither you nor those around you is hungry enough to go after.

You want to know what is wrong with this country?  It’s you, Brother.  You just don’t care.  You think you are doing everything you can, but in the end you won’t do what really is necessary.  No, you don’t want to re-consecrate your life to Jesus and let Him to do whatever He wants to do in you so He can do whatever He wants to do through you.  Because when you do, you will immediately be brought to the battle line, and you don’t have time for that do you?  You just want to let your spiritual wheels spin in the mud on the back roads.  As a result you are covered in spiritual mud, aren’t you?

I told you I had bad news, but you know it’s the truth.  Good ol’ boy religion isn’t going to get the job done that you know needs to be done.  You want your country back?  You’re going to have to sign up for some serious change and the Holy Spirit’s training program.  Your conceal and carry permit doesn’t hold any weight with Him.  He only works with

Heaven’s caliber of power that you know nothing about.  One other thing – it will cost you everything.

Tell me you have the guts to make the decision you know you need to make.  Better yet, tell Jesus.  Get on with it.   Come out of the mud and get into His Glory.  You’ve wasted too much time already.
